Britney Spears is NOT an honorary punk for shaving her head. Britney Spears is a former pop teen starlet who was (and in all likelihood still is) suffering from a major emotional disturbance. I know that we like to have fun here at Honorary Punks, but there is nothing funny about another human being’s hardships.

That being said, her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, IS an honorary punk, not for her rebellion against the man (Nickelodeon) by way of getting pregnant at 16 by an old dude (Casey Aldridge,) but for her groundbreaking portrayal of Zoey Brooks on the Nickelodeon comedy-drama Zoey 101, which premiered in 2005 and ran four seasons, earning Spears a Young Hollywood Award, a Young Artist Award and several Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
